Tony Pulis has reaffirmed his hope Stoke can avoid referee Mike Dean for the rest of the season following Dean Whitehead's sending-off against Tottenham last weekend.
Whitehead was dismissed early in the second half on Saturday having been shown a second yellow card by Dean shortly after Tottenham had gone a goal up.
Spurs went on to win the match 2-1 and Pulis revealed afterwards he had tried to have Dean removed from the game due to concerns over previous incidents earlier in the season.
Pulis has confirmed he had contacted the Referees' Association about the matter since the match and was waiting for their response.
"I've spoken to them again this week. They are going to give me a bit of time to cool down and then come and see me and have a chat with me," Pulis told Press Association Sport.
Asked if he hoped Dean would not be refereeing any of Stoke's games for the remainder of the campaign, Pulis said: "Yes, it would be really nice."
