Bentley back for must-win clash

Fri 25 Apr, 12:00 PM

Gillingham midfielder Mark Bentley returns to the Gills squad after suspension for the vital home clash with Swindon Town on Saturday.Bentley has completed a two-game ban and boss Mark Stimson has hinted the 30-year-old may be handed an instant recall at the expense of youngster Stuart Lewis.

Fellow midfielder Adam Miller definitely misses out as he serves the second of his two-match suspension, while striker Dennis Oli could return after being rested at Bristol Rovers last weekend due to a head injury.

Goalkeeper Simon Royce (ankle) was omitted from the matchday squad against Rovers and is unlikely to play while defender Adam Bygrave returned to parent club Reading earlier this week, so is unavailable for selection.

Defeat against the Robins will see the Gills relegated if Cheltenham pick up at least a point at Oldham later in the afternoon, while a draw would also see Stimson's side down if Cheltenham win and Millwall do not lose to Carlisle.

The match kicks off at 12.30pm at Priestfield.
