Brentford manager Andy Scott will have to make do without the services of striker Nathan Elder for the visit of promotion hopefuls Hereford.Elder scored in last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Lincoln but had an operation on a niggling knee injury on Wednesday and will be out until pre-season training in July.
Ricky Shakes is the favourite to replace Elder alongside Alan Connell although Scott has switched formations and personnel over the last few games as he experiments ahead of next season.
Ben Hamer may get a chance in goal after Simon Brown's horrendous error at Sincil Bank and teenage striker Ross Montague - who will be at Griffin Park next season after Scott activated a clause in his contract - remains sidelined with his back injury.
