Colchester midfielder Johnnie Jackson has been named the club's player of the year.The former Tottenham youngster pipped striker Kevin Lisbie to the honour after an impressive season, during which he has played every minute of every league game.
"It's a fantastic honour and I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me," he said.
"To be voted for by the fans is very special because they are the people who pay their money and it is up to us to entertain them.
"In a disappointing season overall it's nice to hear they think my performances have warranted this award."
Jackson will be presented with his award after Saturday's final game at Layer Road against Stoke.
