Southend manager Steve Tilson has hinted he will resist the urge to rest any of his experienced players ahead of the trip to Tranmere. The Shrimpers are assured of at least a play-off place following last Saturday's 2-1 win at Carlisle and Tilson is expected to name the same starting XI that was on show at Brunton Park and in the previous two games.
Winger Damian Scannell could be handed a place in the matchday squad after overcoming a groin injury, but it remains to be seen whether midfielder Hal Robson-Kanu (Achilles) will play any further part this season.
Tilson - who starts a two-match touchline ban this weekend - has opted to bring striker Alex Revell off the bench in each of the last three games and the 24-year-old may be involved once more, while Lewis Hunt (hernia) and Che Wilson (Achilles) remain sidelined.
Anthony Grant could play the final game of his loan spell as the midfielder is due to rejoin parent club Chelsea next week, with United heading to Prenton Park unbeaten in their last 13 games in League One.
