Ipswich could have striker Shefki Kuqi and midfielder Velice Sumulikoski back in the ranks for Saturday's Championship trip to face Preston.Kuqi has managed less than 45 minutes of football since his loan move from Crystal Palace a month ago due to hamstring injuries but has returned to training and will travel to Deepdale.

Sumulikoski was ruled out for up to three months last week after he partially tore the artery in his shin, but after seeing a surgeon on Wednesday he has been given the green light to carry on playing.

Midfielder David Norris is also close to a recall after his heel problem but will not be rushed back.

Jonathan Walters will continue in attack fresh from his rapid return from knee surgery and being named the club's player of the year this week.

Richard Naylor is out until pre-season after surgery on his neck.
