Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan wants to be reunited with Chelsea's Shaun Wright-Phillips this summer - but faces competition from Manchester City.Keegan gave Wright-Phillips his first-team breakthrough while he was in charge of City, and the England winger thrived under his attacking style.

The 26-year-old has had a torrid time since moving to Stamford Bridge for £21million, though, failing to command regular first-team football under both Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant.

Grant's dismissal on Saturday night means a new manager will be at the Bridge helm next season, with Guus Hiddink widely tipped to take the reins.

The likes of Wright-Phillips, Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho and Frank Lampard have been linked with summer departures - and both City and the Magpies are reportedly pondering an £8million bid for the pint-sized winger.
