Having beaten the Austrian outfit 25-24 on their home court a week ago, Zvenigorod edged out their opponents once again to record victory by the narrowest of margins at the Arena Nova.

It was disappointment for Hypo - the record Champions League winners, with eight all-time victories - who matched Zvenigorod for much of the match.

Going in at half-time there was nothing to separate the two sides at half-time but the visitors stepped up a gear as time ran out, Irina Poltoratskaya netting ten goals to power them on their way to glory.
