Same old story for Mowbray

Mon, 25 May 11:17:04 2009

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray felt his side should have signed out of the Barclays Premier League with a victory after a goalless draw with Blackburn.

The Baggies travelled to Ewood Park already consigned to the drop but failed to give the travelling fans anything to cheer at Ewood park.

"We probably deserved to win the game, given the chances we created. They hit the post but generally we defended well," said Mowbray.

"Once again we have shown we can dominate games but we need to be more clinical. It is important we add that to our game.

"We had a lot of the ball and showed some good movement. Also we kept a clean sheet, which I hope is a good omen for next season."

  3. well, if this manager thinks a draw and athe clean sheet is good for next season it looks like we shall get just 48 points which will at least mean we dont get relegated again !
it was a game of 2 halves, we improved in the second BUT again guilty of SO MANY misses
and to think IF they could have won for their CLUB, for their SUPPORTERS they could have finsihed in 19th place and earned an extra 750,000 pounds for the club that pays their HUGE wages
    BUT no, thats beyond them
