Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has pledged to back manager Mark Stimson in the transfer market as they prepare for life back in League One.
The Gills were promoted after beating Shrewsbury 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday and Scally is happy for Stimson to continue building his squad this summer.
"There's always money," he said. "We're always looking to strengthen, not just because we've got promoted - there's always been money to strengthen the squad."
He added: "But Mark wants a certain type of player and he'll only bring those players in.
"We work very well together, he's very honest man and he wants to see football played. He wants to see his teams play well and that was shown at Wembley."
