Premiership - Alan Smith's future will not be decided quickly, with the player waiting until he returns for holiday before discussing terms with potential buyers.

The Manchester United man's agent has not confirmed reports that Middlesbrough have agreed a £6.5 million fee for the 26-year-old.

He said Smith was still on holiday, and would not address where he would play next season.

"There is a lot of stuff going on at the moment," said Alex Black. "But nothing is going to be done until Alan comes back from his break.

"I read various reports over the weekend that he was supposed to be going to Newcastle, Portsmouth and Sunderland as well. So, we'll have to wait and see."
