Forest chief: We won't sell Tyson

Wed 25 Jun, 07:45 AM

Nottingham Forest insist striker Nathan Tyson is "going nowhere" following interest from several rival Championship clubs.Bristol City saw a £750,000 bid for Tyson rejected last month and the Robins have been tipped to make a fresh offer.

Norwich have also been linked with the forward, but Forest chief executive Mark Arthur says Tyson is not for sale.

"Nathan Tyson is going nowhere, he is a big part of what we are trying to build for the future," Arthur told the Nottingham Evening Post.

Tyson, 26, has 12 months remaining on his current contract at the City Ground and has expressed a wish to stay with the club.

Forest are keen to hand the former Wycombe ace a new two-year deal in an attempt to ward off interest from other clubs.
