Hill believes exits could hurt Dale

Wed 25 Jun, 01:15 PM

Rochdale boss Keith Hill admits his side could feel the loss of David Perkins and Glenn Murray in the opening month of the new season.Influential midfielder Perkins is banned for the first four games following his red card against Darlington in last season's League Two play-off semi-final.

Striker Murray, meanwhile, has yet to be replaced following his £300,000 move to Brighton in January.

Hill said: "The big worries for me is that we will be without David Perkins for the first four games of the season and we haven't replaced Glenn Murray.

"He was part of my plans and should not have been sold from a footballing perspective.

"Everyone, myself included, understand why he was sold but he was very much part of our plan."
