Lincoln have completed the protracted signing of Chesterfield defender Janos Kovacs who moves to Sincil Bank on a two-year deal.The towering 22-year-old centre-back turned down the offer of a new contract at Saltergate in favour of penning a deal with the Imps.

The Spireites are entitled to compensation due to the fact Kovacs is under 24 but the two clubs have yet to agree a fee and the matter is likely to be settled by a tribunal.

Kovacs joined Chesterfield in August 2005 and made over 50 appearances for the club.
