Championship - Duo eye Fortune

Birmingham and Ipswich are weighing up moves for former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune.

The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after a short spell in Belgium with Tubize.

Fortune is keen to earn a move back to England and he has been invited to join both Birmingham and Ipswich for pre-season training, while Hull are also keeping an eye on the South Africa international.

Fortune's agent Hayden Evans told Sky Sports: "Birmingham and Ipswich have invited Quinton to train with them so they can both have a look at him.

"Quinton is looking for a new club and he would be keen on returning to England.

"(Hull manager) Phil Brown is also keeping tabs on him as Quinton is a free agent."

  1. i hope we dont get him 32 is past it in a fast paced­ league we need four decent players with pace and skill­ and not wasting our time with players like fortune and­ i hope we dont leave it too late like when jim was in­ charge so other clubs hike up their prices for decent­ players
