Olympic Laser champion Paul Goodison was the sole British winner at the penultimate leg of the ISAF Sailing World Cup series in Kiel, Germany.
The 31-year-old won his opening five races and remained in control thereafter in a regatta that was curtailed due to extremely light winds.
He also took the gun in the final medal race to win by ten points over nearest rival Mike Bullot of New Zealand.
"It probably looked easier than it was," said Goodison.
"It was a trying week because of the wind conditions, but the racing was fine when we got racing.
"I've been sailing well, I think rounding every windward mark first apart from on the first day, and in the medal race today I got a good start which put me in great shape."
Goodison's British team-mate Nick Thompson still tops the World Cup standings after the sixth leg of the seven event series.
The 22-year-old Thompson, who finished fifth in Kiel, leads the standings by 14 points heading into the series finale which takes place in Weymouth and Portland in September on the same stretch of water that will be used for the 2012 Olympics.
In the 470 men's fleet Jonny McGovern and Christian Birrell took silver behind Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic of Croatia, while world champions Nic Asher and Elliot Willis finished third.
Paul Campbell-James and Mark Asquith took bronze in the 49er class to hold on to the lead in the overall World Cup standings.
Double Olympic gold medallist Iain Percy had to team up with British coach Nick Harrison after his normal crewmate Andrew Simpson left the regatta early to collect his MBE at Buckingham Palace, but Percy still took bronze in his first Star event back since Beijing.
