Premier League - Fabregas rubbishes exit talk

Cesc Fabregas has moved to end speculation over his future by insisting he is "wholeheartedly committed to Arsenal".

The Arsenal skipper reacted after comments attributed to him criticised his team-mates' "impotence" in their efforts to win silverware.

Spain international Fabregas has been linked with a move back to his homeland, with Real Madrid interested in his services.

But the midfielder has hit back at the rumours, insisting his future lies at the Emirates Stadium.

He told Arsenal's official website: "I'm not sure how many times I need to talk directly about my commitment to Arsenal as I continue to say the same thing over and over again, but it appears that every time I have spoken to the Spanish media recently, my words have bounced back to England, leaving question marks about my future.

"So, for anyone who is unclear or may have misunderstood what my position is, let me make myself absolutely crystal clear. I am wholeheartedly committed to Arsenal and my future lies with this great club."

Fabregas had originally said in an interview with The Sun: "The absence of titles at Arsenal is what angers me most. When you don't win everyone is in a bad mood. For four years now, we've needed a title to regain our belief in ourselves.

"Cristiano (Ronaldo) said he's leaving Manchester United because he had nothing else to win.

"For me right now, it is the exact opposite - seeing the impotence."

Lets face it he would be on the bench­ at real­ madrid now that kaka is there, and he would be­ on the­ bench for barca, when xavi and iniesta are fit.­ dont­ really see what all the fuss is about him anyway

Cesc fabregas , we have heard it before , infact all­ the brilliant players over the years have said it just­ weeks before they moved on .. viera , henry,­ ronaldo,kaka and so on .. so please i don't buy it­ that your heart is in Arsenal .. as an arsenal fan , i­ know that you will leave us soon , if not this year­ then next or the one after but. the fact is that you­ will definately leave arsenal at the hieght of your­ career cause all you footballers are a bunch of­ overpaid liars who are only interested in their own­ personal gain and you are not an exception , so please­ stop blaming the damn media.....all we need is for­ wenger to concentrate on home grown players who only­ like playing in the premier league .
