Milan may yet try to sign Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor should they fail to lure Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko to the San Siro.
The Rossoneri's top summer target remains Dzeko - but with Wolfsburg reluctant to sell last season's Bundesliga's top scorer, Milan may have to look elsewhere.
"We are only looking for a forward, and our aim is Dzeko," Milan supremo Adriano Galliani said.
"He is a Wolfsburg player, and they have a right to keep him - even though he continues to claim that his desire is to come to Milan.
"From experience, I know it's difficult to keep a player whose wish is to leave. If we fail to get Dzeko then (Sevilla striker) Luis Fabiano could be an alternative - as could Adebayor."
Milan have expressed an interest for Togo international Adebayor in the past, but Arsenal want to keep the 25-year-old striker. "We had a meeting with (Arsenal coach Arsene) Wenger, but they didn't offer him (Adebayor) to us," said Galliani. "Had they done that, we would have entered talks."

bad news for milan. i love that team bot things are not going so good i think milan is going to fal next seson .
Even Ian Wright returns from retirement would be a better promise of goals than adebayor....
Arsenal, please don't sell Adebayor. He will help Arsenal win some silverwear next season.Remember he scored 30 goals in 07/08,maybe he can score more than 30 goals next season.
milan should not buy adebayor...he is one of the most overrated strikers out there... can't belive that arsenal wanted 30 millions for him. Dzeko and Luis Fabiano are at least a class over him....and curiously could be cheaper.
If Adebayor goes, Arsene should try do a swap for Alexandr Pato! His really good, n' he's young. Works 4 Arsene too
go to milan you lazy striker.vela is a lot cleverer than you.you are the very people whopromise much and deliver little. go to milan and warm their bench.they clearly said they need dzeko and secondly fabiano.if they fail to get them then they will consider you the lazy man
Hi is the third choice,Milan has put it very clearly, its Dzeko then Fabiano, then may be Adebayor....If he makes a mistake to go there,he will warm the bench the whole season, they really don't want him badly....he is not good enough that's what Galliani is saying.
comment 12 you must be really sick in the brain department because
owen has a bad record of getting injured plus ownen passed his peak
i think we need a forward who work really hard for team teve would have
been nice but he gone
perfect shy why would you want owen he isnt the same player he wouldnt be good enough.
He had a good season 07/08 he then demanded a large pay rise he then had a @#$% season 08/09 he appeared lazy and not bothered he seems to get himself in the press saying this that and the other
yes he was injured but when he was supposed to be playing he seemed frankly as if he could not care less
worrying thing is that milan only want a forward what about the rest of their ageing squad surely they need more than that.
go adebayor go..we want owen
Adeybayor wont go coz no one wants him!! lol
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Please don't go
Will Arshavin, Eduardo and Vela be enough?
ADE NEEDS A PLAYER THAT ILL FEED HIM GOOD PASSES.I THINK ROSICKY WHEN HE IS BACK WILL PUT THINGS RIGHT.IF ARSENAL SELL HIM WHO DO WE HAVE,RVP?RVP IS AN INJURY PRONE STRIKER
good he needs to go to a better club
Arsenal, oh dear dear dear dear, if he goes then you had better buy another foreigner lololol
All these Arsenal fans who say Adebayor should go should shut up.When he leaves you will be the ones moaning that we let go of a great player just like flamini, hleb e.t.c.Adebayor has a thing to prove here at Arsenal and i think he will prove it next season. He did score goals this season and he was also injured and you could not have expected more goals from him.Last season Ronaldo had 44 goals and this season he had 24 or something so the problem isnt with Ade he is good we should keep him for one more year and see if he works hard then let him go if he isnt willing to play for us.
PLEASE GO ADEBAYOR......We got Eduardo, RVP, Vela and more.... We don't need you at all....
Ade promised better things in the new season, let's hope hes a man of his word. But i agree with Pinkmama, being classed as third choice is not very flattering. At Arsenal this season he has a lot to prove, if not to Arsenal fans, then to himself, at least.
