Green targets good times

Thu 25 Jun, 03:02 PM

Hereford defender Ryan Green is itching to get started as he begins his second spell with the club.

The 28-year-old has rejoined the Bulls following a three-year hiatus at Bristol Rovers, and he is keen to pick up where he left off after scoring one of the goals that fired Hereford into the Football League via their play-off victory over Halifax in 2006.

"I can't wait to get started. I know John Trewick and Graham Turner and I know how the club works. Hereford is an ideal location for me. I will probably continue to live in Bristol and Cardiff," Green told the Hereford Times.

"John has been coach and assistant manager for several years now and I think he's ready to take the step up to management.

"I am sure he will get in the right players to give the club the best chance of getting back into League One.

"The Hereford fans will be wanting us to get promoted and that must be our aim."
