Chairman Ray Ranson is optimistic Coventry will soon sign "three or four" players but is calling for calm at the Ricoh Arena in the meantime.
The Sky Blues have yet to open their chequebook this summer, with captain Scott Dann going the other way to Birmingham for around £3.5million and Robbie Simpson signing for Huddersfield.
City have been linked with a host of names as Chris Coleman looks to bolster his ranks for an assault on the top six, and Ranson has urged the club's supporters to be patient as they close in on their targets.
"There's no need for anyone to panic," he told the Coventry Telegraph.
"We have spoken to all the clubs and parties involved and we are just waiting for things to fall into place. These things take time but I am confident we will have three or four bodies through the door soon.
"The players have not even started back for pre-season training yet, so we are certainly not worried. It is an ongoing situation and we are in negotiations with a number of clubs regarding players we would like to bring to Coventry City."
