Peter Taylor has completed the signing of Fulham midfielder Nathan Ashton on a two-year contract that keeps him at Wycombe until 2010.The 21-year-old has become Peter Taylor's seventh signing of the summer and the Chairboys' boss is delighted with his latest capture.

"We need to replace Sergio Torres and Nathan fits the bill perfectly," Taylor told the club's official website.

"He's an attacking minded left-footed player who's got bags of energy and can get up and down the pitch very well."

Ashton has signed for a nominal fee that will be dependant on first-team appearances and Taylor believes the former England youth international will benefit from regular football.

He added: "He's got a terrific left-foot and needed to play league football. At the age of 21 he needs to be playing regularly."
