Former Uganda coach Laszlo Csaba has tabled a compensation offer to his previous employers to try and heal a rift that is quickly developing. The Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA) has threatened legal action against the Hungarian after he quit his post earlier this month, without serving a three-month mandatory notice period, to take up a managerial role with Scottish Premier League club Hearts.
In his defence Csaba claimed he had evidence FUFA failed to perform primary obligations which amounted to a fundamental breach of contract.
However, the Romania-born Hungarian has now attempted to ease tension by offering the African nation, through his lawyers Muwema and Mugerwa Advocates and Solicitors, US 19,990 for the three-month notice he failed to serve.
"Let FUFA furnish us with their account details so that we can deposit the money," lawyer Fred Muwema told www.kickoffeastafrica.com.
"There is no need to pursue this any further because the loser of this case can clearly be identified from its onset."
Muwema also urged FUFA to accept the offer and move on.
He added: "Csaba can be of importance to the future of Ugandan football. Creating harmony is the way forward."
