Cheltenham boss Keith Downing has vowed to continue his search for a striker after missing out on Michael Boulding and his brother Rory. The pair had been training with the Whaddon Road club but decided to stay closer to their Sheffield home and join Bradford and Downing admits it was a blow to miss out.
However, the Robins boss is set to hold talks with Carlisle's Kevin Gall this weekend.
"It's a disappointment. It was not down to money or anything like that but purely the chance to stay closer to home," Downing told the club's official website.
"I'll be speaking to Kevin Gall at the weekend and there are other players who are starting to become available as well.
"I'm still trying to bring people in whether permanently or on loan and if I have to do loans for three months, six months or longer then we'll do it that way."
