Tranmere Rovers have been handed a boost after Liverpool defender Godwin Antwi signed on loan for the League One club until January. The 20-year old has been at Anfield since 2005 after joining from Spanish side Real Zaragoza and was part of Liverpool's FA Youth Cup winning side in 2006.
He becomes Tranmere's sixth signing of the summer following the arrival of Gareth Edds, Edrissa Sonko, George O'Callaghan, Bas Savage and Luke Waterfall at Prenton Park.
Rovers boss Ronnie Moore said: "Godwin is a very talented young defender who we've been watching for some time. When I heard he had become available on loan I jumped at the chance of bringing him in to play right back.
"He has spent the last three seasons at Liverpool so has worked with some great coaches.
"He is comfortable on the ball, already has Football League experience from his time at Hartlepool and he will add quality, strength and pace to our defence. Hopefully we will be able to keep him beyond January."
