Brentford manager Andy Scott insists wantaway defender Craig Pead still has a future with the League Two outfit.Pead had an unsuccessful trial spell with Cheltenham having earlier changed his mind over a move to Port Vale, but Scott has paved the way for the 26-year-old to star for the Bees this season.
"Craig is still a Brentford player, and he is still a first-class player," Scott told the Hounslow Chronicle.
"He will be the first to admit he didn't have the best of times last season, but you can't fault the effort he has put in pre-season.
"I have no problem with him staying if that's what happens, and I'll be delighted to have him in the squad. He is a good lad to have around and has a great attitude."
