Spanish businessman Vicente Soriano will be named president of Valencia on Friday and has told coach Unai Emery his job is safe.Soriano bought the majority share package of the Primera Liga outfit from outgoing president Juan Soler on Thursday evening and will take over his new role after the club's administration council later in the day.

Soriano confirmed that coach Unai Emery will continue in charge of Los Che and that his intention is to keep hold of Spain internationals David Villa and David Silva, who have both been linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer.

"I intend, desire and want to transmit calmness to this club," said Soriano on the club's official website.

"Valencia will have a competent administration council that will bring this project forward with or without difficulty. We will do whatever is needed."

Emery welcomed the new ownership and hopes this move will give stability to the club, something which has lacked in recent years.

"We want stability," he said. "But the most important thing is that we are able to create a team that makes the fans happy and that helps the club resolve their financial issues."

Soriano takes over a club who suffered problems both on and off the field last term.

With debts in the region of 400million euros, they battled to 10th in the Primera League after a miserable stint in charge for Ronald Koeman, who succeeded Quique Sanchez Flores.

Koeman guided the team to the Copa del Rey title but they were just two points above the relegation zone when he was sacked in April.
