Youngster on fire for Pirates

Fri 25 Jul, 01:30 PM

Young Bristol Rovers striker Josh Klein-Davies helped himself to all four goals as the Pirates beat Swedish side MABI 4-0 in Malmo. After opening the scoring in the 19th minute, the 19-year-old - who broke into the first team over the Christmas period last season - added further strikes in the 59th, 80th and 83rd minutes.

Head coach Paul Trollope told the club's official website: "Josh managed to get four goals in what was a good team display.

"It was a very good workout for us and it was pleasing some of our younger players, and some of the senior players, got 90 minutes under their belt.

"It was also pleasing to keep a clean sheet, something we achieved comfortably against a side who were probably made to look worse than they were as they were very good technically and had pace up front."

  1. Well done Josh now do it for Wales U19. Hope to see JKD cement a regular place on the bench and perhaps a few starts this though it will be harder for the lad with Duffy and Lambert running the front line.
