A brand new circuit in Hungary is set to be added to the MotoGP championship calendar for the 2009 season.
If the new Balatonring circuit is built in time and also meets the requirements it could stage round 14 of the series in September of next year.
MotoGP rights holders Dorna have put forward the proposed new circuit, at Lake Balaton, in a provisional calendar which will see the 2009 series staged over 18 rounds, starting in Qatar in April and concluding in Spain in November.
The British round remains at Donington Park in Leicestershire in July.
