Crystal Palace skipper Shaun Derry apologised to his team-mates and manager Neil Warnock following his red card against Burnley on Saturday.Derry is now banned for the Carling Cup second-round trip to his former club Leeds after collecting two yellow cards in the space of two minutes - the second an unnecessary foul on Burnley's Wade Elliott.
"Of course he has (apologised). He is the captain and he has let us all down," said Warnock.
"I told him if he didn't want to go to Leeds then he didn't have to do that. I think I might take him with us just for punishment!"
