Millwall boss Kenny Jackett praised Tony Craig for adapting to a new role in the team during Saturday's 0-0 draw at Northampton.Left-back Craig was pushed forward into midfield at Sixfields and performed well alongside first Marc Laird, until he suffered a hamstring injury, and then substitute Nadjim Abdou.
"We have lacked some competitiveness in midfield so far, leading me to play three in there which I don't want to do just now," said Jackett.
"I thought Tony would show strength and personality in that position, which he did, and I felt he had a good game.
"I was hoping he and Marc Laird would form a good partnership, so to lose Marc with a hamstring injury was a blow.
"But I thought Jimmy Abdou did well in there when he came on."
