Krystian Pearce is hoping to retain his place in the starting XI after impressing on his Scunthorpe debut against Peterborough on Saturday.The England Under-19 international defender joined on loan from Birmingham and felt he did enough against the Posh to keep his place for Saturday's trip to Stockport.

"It's good to be playing again, I haven't played for a week so it was good to be back out on the pitch," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"A clean sheet is always good and the manager said that I played well so I am happy. Hopefully I can keep my place in the team."
