Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has called for a swift resolution to the uncertainty over Dimitar Berbatov's future.
The Bulgaria striker was left out of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunderland after it was decided he was in the wrong frame of mind to play amid interest from Manchester United.
And with just a week to go until the closure of the transfer window, Ramos has called for the saga to be brought to an end as quickly as possible so that he can bring in a replacement.
"We need to get this matter resolved before the transfer deadline," he said.
"If Berbatov goes, we will need time to sign a replacement. We want to have the best centre forward we can possibly get."

i am sick of the whole saga, dont sell him just because he wants it. let him wait until january and fine him a weeks wage every time he fails to show the right attitude. in the meantime give young peckhart a chance and sign a cheap journeyman striker such as kanoute.

EMILE HESKEY FOR WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSE!
why does this have to take so much time to figure out. If the player wants to go you can be sure that his interest can no longer be at the club and this would not be healthy, not only to the team but also to the management of the club. I would advise that for the betterment of the club 'LET BERBA GO'
Spurs re takin d berba transfer too slow, i doubt dey wont b on d loser side @ d end of d day cos berba wil surely go any day dis wk n spurs re not considerin d fact d transfer window ends saturday!
Spurs has been doing the wrong thing since the beginning of the transfer market, selling key players which really helped the team last season. But in Berba situation I think that since a long time he should have been granted his wish to go to united cause it has been affected the morale surrounding the team and they play like a tense team on the pitch. Let berba go because this was predicted when they at first let Robbie go to liverpool. It will be better for the club and the players could concentrate on playing their own football because there is some good players which have been bought. HOPE THIS WILL BE CLEAR THIS WEEK.
