Reading have allowed young striker Simon Church to join League Two side Wycombe on loan for an initial month.

The 19-year-old could make his debut at Chesterfield next weekend.

Wycombe boss Peter Taylor said: "He's a hard-working player and I'm delighted Reading have allowed him to come here."

The teenager has yet to feature for the Royals' first team but enjoyed loan spells at Crewe and Yeovil last season, while he has also featured for Wales Under-21s.

Meanwhile, Leon Knight has signed for Blue Square Premier side Rushden & Diamonds after he was released by Taylor last week.

  2. ahh simon church is rubbish he should stay there forever.i mean no offence to simon but he got one game in the prem and he couldnt win a ball he couldnt get past a man.league two is about his level even the confrence is his level.that game was against derby even.derby were the worst team in the prem history so he was bound to make at least one tackle.my mistake he came on as a sub for leroy lita at twenty minutes but he still had ages to mak at least one tackle.his closest tackle was on giles barnes is that better.so he should stay there perminantley for the rest of his carrer.
