Dark Blues make cup progress
Dundee progressed into the next round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup with a 4-2 win but were pushed hard by Third Division Forfar.
The first half belonged to the Dark Blues who were cruising with three goals after half an hour. Leigh Griffiths set the ball rolling with an 11th-minute goal after a slip from Ian Campbell and four minutes later Mickael Antoine-Curier doubled Dundee's lead when he pounced on a loose ball after a Colin Cameron drive.
Curier got his second in the 31st minute when Griffiths headed back across goal for him to slot home from close range.
Forfar tightened things up in the second half and they were rewarded when substitute Stephen Tulloch pulled a goal back in a crowded box in the 55th minute.
The home side were on top, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the 67th minute when Andy Tod knocked a low centre into his own net.
Forfar refused to give up, though, and Ross Campbell got their second in the 72nd minute after being set up by his brother.
