Championship - Hamstring sidelines Earnshaw

Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw will miss the next three matches with a hamstring problem.

The Wales international pulled up and was substituted towards the end of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood said: "It's a disappointment for Robert and the team.

"But looking on the bright side it looks as though he will not be out for too long."

"It's a strain rather than a tear and we got him off the field against Charlton very quickly to make sure he did not do any further damage."

"He will miss Saturday's trip and also next week's game against Sheffield Wednesday but at this stage we have not ruled him out for the Crystal Palace game a week on Saturday."

Earnshaw had just begun to find form following his move to Forest in May, having been mainly consigned to the bench during his time at Derby County last season, despite arriving as the club's record signing.

The 27-year-old has scored five goals in his first nine appearances for the City Ground side.
