Chris Brandon must endure another two weeks on the sidelines before he can be in contention to make his long-awaited Bradford debut.

The 32-year-old, who is yet to appear for the Bantams following his summer arrival, sustained a foot injury in his comeback match for the reserves earlier this month after missing the start of the season with ankle ligament damage.

Brandon, who spent four years at Huddersfield before joining hometown club Bradford on a free transfer in May, injured his ankle in a pre-season friendly for the Bantams at Motherwell.

Meanwhile, Paul Arnison is expected to miss City's next two matches at least, but tests have revealed his torn calf muscle is not as severe as first feared.

After a good start to the season, Bradford currently occupy third place in League Two having won five of their opening seven fixtures.
