Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate will welcome back Gary O'Neil and Jeremie Aliadiere from injury for the trip to Coventry.

O'Neil missed last Saturday's 5-0 home drubbing by West Brom with a hamstring injury, while Frenchman Aliadiere limped off in the second half with a similar problem.

However, both men are expected to be fit for the game at the Ricoh Arena as the Teessiders attempt to bounce back.

Skipper Emanuel Pogatetz and midfielder Didier Digard played 70 minutes for the reserves in midweek but will not travel as they attempt to build up match fitness.

Andrew Taylor and Chris Riggott (both ankle) remain on the sidelines along with long-term absentee Matthew Bates (knee ligaments).
