LONDON (AFP) - The New England Patriots thrashed Tampa Bay 35-7 here on Sunday in the latest regular season NFL clash to be played at London's Wembley Stadium.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had an off-day yet still threw three touchdowns while his inexperienced Buccaneers counterpart Josh Johnson threw three interceptions before half-time.
This match, the third regular season NFL game to be played at Wembley, was designated as a home fixture for Tampa.
But a change of scene did little for the Buccanneers, who have now lost all seven of their matches so far this season.
The Patriots - Superbowl champions three-times this decade - came into this fixture on the back of a record-equalling 59-0 hammering of Tennessee last weekend and within 19 minutes at Wembley were 21-0 up.
Gridiron fans in the British capital had witnessed two tight finishes in the previous Wembley NFL fixtures but on Sunday a capacity crowd of over 84,000 were treated to something akin to an exhibition, with Brandon Meriweather making two interceptions in the first six minutes, including a touchdown.
