James Thompson added another trophy to his name by clinching the FIA WTCC Europe Cup in Braga.

Thompson, driving a Honda Accord, finished third in the first race on a wet track before jumping ahead of rivals Franz Engstler and Norbert Michelisz to win a dry second race.

Thompson victory, combined with points won by Harry Vaulhards, also meant that Great Britain won the Nation's Cup.

Latvia's Marcis Birkens won the Super Production Cup while Carsten Seifer of Germany won the $1600 Cup.
