Albion frustrate fans

Roberto Di Matteo insists he was unaware his defender Jonas Olsson had been involved in an angry exchange with his own supporters after a poor 0-0 draw at Coventry.

The stalemate means the Baggies, who started the day at top of the table, have now picked up five points from a possible 18 and the final whistle was greeted with some boos from Albion fans.

Di Matteo said: "We just missed that cutting edge in front of goal, with a bit of luck sometimes you get a deflection or something going for you.

"We're struggling a little bit to score goals and you need to score goals to win games, so we'll have to address that.

"Obviously we want to win games and at the moment we're not winning as many games as we'd like.

"It's a tough league and, as you can see, every game is hard and we're missing a few important players."

  1. Moore is our £3m striker! The new £2m striker was an unused sub yet again. The striker who scored for fun last season. He's given Wood and Moore a chance, why not Cox a run out? It's so obvious he doesn't like him, cos he didn't sign him!
