Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies accused opposite number Neil Warnock of "sometimes being on a different planet" after his side's 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
David McGoldrick cancelled out Darren Ambrose's 40th-minute opener for the hosts shortly after the break, but the game was overshadowed by a melee sparked by Palace defender Clint Hill's alleged elbow on Forest winger Paul Anderson.
Hill received only a booking for the incident and while Warnock agreed with the decision, Davies was adamant the Palace player should have been sent off.
Davies said: "Neil's very good at making it look the opposite of what's happened.
"He's a great lad, wears his heart on his sleeve and I've great respect for him and what he has done. But sometimes he's on a different planet."
Davies added: "I was `out of my pram' because I'm trying to protect my player, 21 years of age, who had just been hit in the head."
