Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock had mixed emotions after seeing his side held 1-1 by fellow strugglers Ipswich.
Argyle took the lead through skipper Carl Fletcher but Ipswich drew level when Gary Sawyer's poor back pass let in substitute Jon Stead.
Argyle also lost Darcy Blake to a red card with six minutes remaining following his challenge on Alan Quinn.
"Overall I don't know at this stage whether it was a point gained or two dropped," said Sturrock.
"What I do know is that we played with confidence in the first half and when we were a goal up but once we conceded that confidence seemed to be sucked out of us."
