Norwich midfielder Korey Smith has signed a new contract to stay at Carrow Road until 2013.
The 18-year-old has become a first-team regular under Paul Lambert and scored his first goal for the club in the recent win over Wycombe.
Smith told the club`s official website: "Obviously I`m very proud and delighted to have signed my second professional contract and hopefully there will be more to come."
He added: "The manager has put faith in me and hopefully I`ve got a bright future with Norwich City."
Lambert said: "It`s great for the club to secure a promising young player like Korey and it`s great for him that he wants to continue his development with us.
"He is part of a nucleus of good young players we have here at the moment and he has worked very hard."

Only premiership clubs have the money to spend on players so Norwich are right to concentrate on bringing up talented youth team players
Great news - Norwich has some brilliant young players coming through and they need to be kept on the books for as long as possible! Well done Korey.
