Sutton: We need goals

Lincoln boss Chris Sutton rued his team's lack of firepower in front of goal as they were held to a goaless draw by struggling Torquay.

Sutton played Rene Howe in a lone forward role and the big striker found himself kept well under control by the United defence.

The hosts wasted a number of opportunities as well as seeing midfielder Stefan Oakes hit the post in the first half before flagging late on.

Sutton said: "We tired towards the end and rode our luck a bit.

"We've got a lot of work to do. The players gave their all and we created some decent opportunities ourselves but could not score.

"At the end of the day a point was probably a fair result. In the second half we had some really good opportunities but didn't make the most of them."
