Exeter manager Paul Tisdale hailed the character of his side after they snatched a late 1-1 draw against Wycombe.
The Grecians looked to be heading for defeat after Matt Harrold converted a penalty for the visitors just minutes before half-time.
But Barry Corr came off the substitutes' bench and headed home a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a point for the Devon side.
"I thought under the circumstances, it was an excellent performance," Tisdale said.
"I am delighted with how the team did. To go into the game with three players missing and having to change the side, playing into a strong wind and with a lot of anxiety around the players, but fortunately not too much in the players, I'm really pleased. They were 10 per cent down on their composure bearing in mind how important the game was and there were plenty of mistakes.
"But I am really impressed with the nerve and spirit and what they did at the end again. The overriding positive about this season so far is how we keep going right to the end."
