Waddock frustrated after late goal

Wycombe chief Gary Waddock expressed his frustration after watching his side concede a last-gasp equaliser at Exeter.

The Grecians looked to be heading for defeat after Matt Harrold converted a penalty for the visitors just minutes before half-time.

But Barry Corr came off the substitutes' bench and headed home a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a point for the Devon side.

"To concede so late on in the game is very disappointing, but Exeter threw everything at us in the second half," said Waddock. "We defended well up until the last minute of the game really.

"It's quite annoying and quite frustrating, but the players put in a lot of hard work and effort. Coming here, it's a difficult place and I know that better than anybody. But a point away from home is a good point. We wanted the three and it's a shame we conceded so late in the game.

"It gives us something to build on, but it would have been better if we had won. We got a result last week against a good side and we got another one. You can't underestimate getting a point away from home."
