Kang powers to win in Malaysia
Kang Jimin produced three birdies in the final four holes to storm to victory at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
Kang carded a six-under-par 65 in her final round in Kuala Lumpur to finish one-shot ahead of American veteran Juli Inkster.
Inkster missed her chance to force a play-off when she bogeyed the final hole to hand the title to Kang.
"That's not that easy to do for me," said Kang, who holed a 12-foot putt for her birdie on the last. "I played solid. I hit lots of putts.
"As you guys can tell, my score was good enough to win a tournament and, you know, it's been a while. So I'm trying to soak this in.
"I didn’t know where I was standing. All I knew was that I was within the top five at some point and I noticed I was playing pretty darn good towards the end."
Mika Miyazato and Maria Hjorth finished tied for third after final rounds of 69 and 71 respectively.
