Stockport manager Jim Gannon paid tribute to his players after seeing them earn a 1-1 draw at Bradford with a stoppage-time equaliser.Bradford, reduced to 10 men shortly after half-time when Paul Heckingbottom was sent off for a second bookable offence, took the lead in the 71st minute through Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu but David Poole snatched the late equaliser for County.
It brought to an end an exhausting week for the Hatters who saw their first-round FA Cup replay at Staines called off at the last minute on Monday because of rain.
And, after then losing the replayed fixture to their Ryman league opponents on penalties on Thursday, Gannon was delighted with his players' reaction.
He said: "We travelled twice in four days to Staines and we had to take out players who were exhausted, but credit to the professionalism of everyone - I'm proud of them all.
"Our supporters should also be proud of the way we played after such a difficult week, but I'm disappointed we didn't control the game at the end and take our chances."
