Grimsby boss Alan Buckley hailed Danny North after his brace inspired a first league win in nine games courtesy of a 3-0 victory at Barnet.The 19-year-old striker, who scored a hat-trick against the Bees the last time the sides met at Blundell Park in April, haunted Paul Fairclough's men again as Grimsby climbed out of the bottom three.

Buckley said: "I wish Danny would play like that every week.

"We know we've got a talented player, he's only 19 and he scored his goals well last year.

"However, he didn't start pre-season or the season proper well, it's only in the last couple of weeks that he's looked more like himself.

"He played really well against Carlisle in the week and he's carried it on today."
