Sheridan: Let's keep on winning

Sun 25 Nov, 06:00 PM

Oldham manager John Sheridan challenged his side to launch a surge up the table after Lee Hughes inspired a 3-0 success at Bournemouth.Former West Brom striker Hughes scored his first goal since a controversial summer move to Boundary Park after his release from prison in the summer.

Sheridan believes the victory could prove the turning point after a stuttering start to their campaign.

He said: "I have always maintained we are a much better team than the league table suggests but we had to start winning games.

"I stressed that to the players in the dressing room before the match and I was delighted with their performance.

"We knew Bournemouth were not on a great run but this is still a tough place to come and win."
